Next cohort intake is open · instalments available
Open-source ERP is growing fast across small and mid-sized businesses, and the shortage of developers who can genuinely extend it is severe. This track makes you one of them: framework internals, real implementation practice, and the operational judgement that separates a configurator from an engineer.
What you will be able to do
- Build custom Frappe apps that survive framework upgrades
- Model business processes as doctypes, workflows and permissions
- Migrate legacy data with reconciliation your finance team accepts
- Integrate ERPNext with payment, compliance and logistics systems
- Run a go-live: cutover plan, training, hypercare and rollback
- Diagnose and fix a stalled ERP implementation
Entry expectations
If you are close but not quite there, tell us at application. We would rather get you ready than turn you away.
- 01Python basics
- 02Comfort with the command line
- 03Basic understanding of business processes (helpful, not required)
The route, module by module
8 modules over 12 weeks. Every one ends in something deployed to a real URL and reviewed line by line.
- Architecture, the doctype system, ORM, hooks, the bench, and how the pieces fit together
- Accounting, stock, buying, selling, manufacturing and projects, configured for a real operation rather than a demo company
- App scaffolding, custom doctypes, controllers, client scripts, server scripts, and keeping customisation upgrade-safe
- Approval chains, role-based and user-permission models, and audit trails that stand up to scrutiny
- Query and script reports, print format design, and dashboards managers will actually open
- Extraction, cleaning, mapping, opening balances, reconciliation reports and parallel runs
- REST API, webhooks, payment gateways, e-invoicing and e-way bill, and third-party logistics
- Bench deployment, staging, backups, upgrades, cutover planning, training and hypercare
What you will have built
- 01A custom app for a real business process, built upgrade-safe
- 02A data migration with a reconciliation report
- 03An integration with an external system via REST and webhooks
- 04Capstone: a scoped ERPNext implementation with training material
