A small company with an unusually long view
SaaSFarers exists because two problems turned out to be the same problem: companies cannot find teams who will build software properly and then stay to run it, and engineers cannot find places that will teach them to do exactly that.
Software people can depend on, built by people who stay
The name is deliberate. Farers are people who make the voyage. Building software for a business is not a delivery, it is a passage: you leave with an idea and a rough map, the weather changes, and what matters is who is on the boat with you.
So we do the two things that follow from that. We build and run products, ours and other people's. And we train the crew, because there are not enough people who can do this work well and we would rather make more of them than complain about the shortage.
- Clarity beats cleverness. The best architecture is the one the next engineer understands in an afternoon.
- Own your exit. If a client cannot leave us cleanly, we have built the wrong thing.
- Ship in slices. Something real every two weeks, not a reveal in month six.
- Boring where it counts. Proven databases and deployment. Save the novelty for the product.
- Teach as you go. Every project should leave someone more capable than it found them.
- Say the hard thing early. Bad news does not improve with age.
Three arms that feed each other
Each one makes the other two better. That is the whole strategy.
Products
Our own SaaS, built and operated in-house. Running them is how we learn what actually breaks at 2am, and it keeps our advice honest.
Learn moreStudio
Client work: SaaS platforms, AI products, ERP implementations, websites, and the long-term support that keeps them alive.
Learn moreAcademy
Training, internships on live projects, and a hiring pipeline into our own team and our clients' teams.
Learn moreRemote-first, on-site when it matters
We are based in India and work with clients across India, the Gulf, the UK, the US and Singapore. Our default is remote and asynchronous, because that is how good engineering time is protected.
But for discovery, for ERP work, and for anything that touches a factory floor, a clinic, a warehouse or a shop counter, we come to you. You cannot design an operations system from a video call.
Timezones we cover
IST core hours with overlap into GST, GMT and ET. Support rotas are written around your business day, not ours.
Industries we know
Logistics and stevedoring, exports and trade documentation, education, healthcare operations, community and faith organisations, retail and field services.
What we are building towards
- 01A studio with a real product portfolio
Our own SaaS products, each solving one problem properly, funding the freedom to work with clients we believe in.
- 02An AI practice with substance
Not a chatbot bolted onto a form. Evaluated, cost-controlled AI systems that businesses can put in front of customers.
- 03An academy the industry trusts
Where a SaaSFarers certificate means the holder has shipped, been reviewed, and handled a production incident.
- 04A team grown from the inside
Most of our engineers hired from our own cohorts, which is the only hiring pipeline we fully trust.
Work with us, or come and learn with us.
Two doors into the same building. Whichever you take, you will be talking to engineers rather than a sales layer.
